How we handle your application information

Effective September 29, 2026.

Draft updates for the five-question application. Review this wording and its effective date before publishing.

What we collect

The initial application asks for your name, email, optional phone number, stage of divorce, lawyer status, a description of your concern limited to 300 characters, and investment readiness. Please do not include case documents or details about your spouse. Submitting requests a response about your application, not a marketing subscription. If it appears to be a fit, a separate conflict check must clear before meeting. We record which headline version was shown, not a visitor identity. Earlier applications may include additional selections, written descriptions, and explicit privacy and terms acknowledgments; those original records are preserved under the applicable retention policy.

Where it is stored and who can see it

Your complete application is stored in the site’s Replit-hosted database. Only Wendy can access the application review and weekly tracking views. Submitting does not create an attorney-client relationship or make The Composed Litigant your law firm.

What is sent to other providers

Our existing notification destination receives only your name, email address, and application status so Wendy can review your application privately. For applicants ready to invest, our existing Kajabi integration receives contact information and the applicant tag, not confidential answers or your phone number. “Not right now” applications are privately tagged as email-list candidates instead of entering the normal applicant follow-up flow. This answer does not itself subscribe you to marketing emails. We do not send your written concern, divorce stage, lawyer status, or other confidential answers to analytics or outside tools.

Anonymous weekly counts

We count homepage loads, top and bottom application clicks, application starts, the question visible when someone closes or leaves the form, and completed submissions by week and headline version. These counters contain no names, contact details, answers, cookies, or persistent visitor identifiers. Only Wendy can view them. Preview/test counts are separate from live counts. Counter records are removed after 90 days.

How long we keep it

We retain applications only as long as reasonably needed to review them, communicate with applicants, maintain appropriate business records, and meet legal obligations. Unless a longer period is required for legal or operational reasons, declined or inactive applications should be deleted or de-identified within 12 months. Accepted applicants’ information may be retained as part of the client relationship and applicable recordkeeping requirements.

Deletion and questions

You may ask us to delete your application by replying to any application-related email from The Composed Litigant with “Delete my application” in the subject line. If you have not received an email yet, use the business contact method through which you received this application link. We will verify the request and delete information we are not required to retain, including requesting removal from applicable follow-up systems.

Security and limits

We use access controls and reasonable safeguards intended to protect application data, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Do not use this form for urgent matters, privileged attorney communications, names of other people, case numbers, evidence, account numbers, passwords, or documents. A booking is provisional until a separate conflicts check clears; the initial inquiry does not collect that check’s identifiers.
